Large turn out today as a group from "Natural England" were visitng the site on a fact finding mission. They have recently planted 100K trees near Bakewell with tree tubes and will need to remove the plastic at a future date.

The weather was glorious! We worked in a densly planted stand of trees, the planting was relatively regular and the trees were spaced out just enough that it was possible to systematically remove a large amount in good time.
The larger group size meant that we made a huge impact on the tree tube removal activity than usual, by the end of the day we had removed circa 5k trees.
