More planting at the skirtle! Volunteer-wise it was due to be me and 20 people from Edinburgh University mountaineering club. As it tuned out, just 3 of them turned up. We planted in the skirtle. The ground was very rocky but I got 50 trees in - since there is a long walk in and out of this site I was quite pleased with that. It was often necessary to prize rocks out of the ground to create enough space to make a hole for the tree.
