Tree planting at talla craig
30.11.2025The conditions were great for the kick-off of the new planting season at Talla craig which was hitherto an unplanted area. Planting a new site is always a joy because you can more-or-less keep to a particular area and work on that, as the season progresses you can find that a lot of time is consumed seeking out small patches of unplanted areas or increasing the density of already planted areas. The cold, crisp but just above freezing weather also made for a good planting experience as the ground was relatively firm at the surface (therefore not too mucky) but was easy enough to screef away and expose softer ground just beneath the surface.
